He is survived by: his wife Sherry Crawford; his sisters, Kay Greene, Jean Moody (Bert) and Carol Thompson (Linton); his son Lewis Charles Crawford "Chase"; his daughter-in-law Sarah Crawford; his daughter Megan Al-Zaid; his son-in-law Bill Al-Zaid; his grandchildren, Poppy Crawford, Sarah Lozano (Eric), Madison Paugh (Ryan Kaminer) and Jacob Al-Zaid; and his great grandchild Baylor Kaminer.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kepner Funeral Home (16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Calvary Lutheran Church (950 Bradley St NE, Concord, NC 28025). A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Salisbury National Cemetery (501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144).
