He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Alexander Stancil and Lois Medlin; his former wife Sharon Seamon Stancil; his grandson Ryan Christopher McManus; and his siblings, Curtis Stancil and Ellen Frances Stancil Cline.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Hatley McManus Stancil; his sons, Larry Stancil, Jr. (Heather), Richard Stancil (Anna), Brian Stancil (Sarah) and Christopher McManus (Kathy); and his caregiver Jenna. He is also survived by 5 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons, and 2 great granddaughters; and a number of extended family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Wilkinson Funeral Home (100 Branchview Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Calvary Lutheran Church (950 Bradley St NE, Concord, NC 28025). A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 3:30 PM at the Carolina Memorial Park (601 Mt Olivet Rd, Concord, NC 28025).
