She is survived by: her close friend Randy Sperling of Concord, NC; her children, Ashley Pettrey (Donald Thornton) of Athens, WV, Kenneth Sperling of Seattle, WA and Chad Nutter (Kristy) of Bartow, FL; her grandchildren, Haleigh Thornton (Miles Bender) of Morgantown, WV, Logan Thornton of Athens, WV, Abigail Thornton of Athens, WV and Brogan Thornton of Athens, WV; her sisters, Sharon Smith of Princeton, WV and Karen Bragg of Charlotte, NC; her niece Courtney Devereaux (Danny) of Charlotte; her nephew Harold Smith of Princeton, WV; her great-nieces, Ava Rios of Charlotte, NC, Audrielle Rios of Charlotte, NC and Danica Devereaux of Charlotte, NC; her pet Zeus; and her mother-in-law Jeanelle Melton. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
