He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Franklin Thompson, Sr. and Ida Mae Garris Thompson; and his brother Walter Thompson, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Kiser Thompson; his children, Kim Starnes (Terry) and Greg Thompson (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Amy Starnes and Faryn Thompson.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wilkinson Funeral Home (100 Branchview Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pastor Jimmy Hall.
