It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathy McCorkle of Concord, North Carolina, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on January 30, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Fannie Mae Henson Pope; her significant other Gary "Dean" McCorkle, Sr.; her sister Sharon Queen; and her grandson Justin Tartt. She is survived by: her children, Michele Tartt (Neil) of Midland and Jamie McCorkle (Amanda) of Charlotte; her siblings, Vicky Shaw of McDonough, GA, June Bradley of Concord, Joyce Ferrel of Durham, Wayne Pope of Perry, GA, Billy Pope of Gaffney, SC and Mike Pope of Four Oaks; her grandchildren, Matthew Tartt, Kayleigh Tartt (Quinton), Dyaln Tartt (Kara), Holden McCorkle (Asia) and Deana McCorkle; and her great grandchildren, Riley, Raegan, Cashton and Macie.
