With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Everett Newsome Sr. of Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on October 17, 2022 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Fred Newsome; and his wife Jean Whitaker Newsome. He is survived by: his children, John Newsome, Jr. (Lisa), Lori Linker (Jimmy) of Concord and Lisa Smith (Naylor) of Concord; his grandchildren, Jamison Newsome (Laura), Heather Newsome, Ian Smith (Maeghan) and Dakota Smith (Alora); his niece Susanne Parrott; and his pet Heidi. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
