It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe W. Mullinax of Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on September 22, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joe W. Mullinax to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Massie Taylor Mullinax and Corrie Jane Herbert Mullinax; his former wife Lois Rachel Mullinax; and also, Pawnee Simmons, Mendall Demarkaus Mullinax, Massie Taylor Mullinax, Jr., Thomas Herbert Mullinax, Doris Maxine Mullinax, Dewey Wayne Mullinax and Flossie Church.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Mullinax of Concord; his children, Michael J. Mullinax (Laura) of Charlotte, Terry L. Mullinax (Janet) of Charlotte, Randall W. Rice (Martha) of Hickory, Anita Goodwin (Katie) of Louisville, KY and Cheryl R. Trafton (Michael) of Concord; and his brother Kimo J. Mullinax (Christine) of Granite Falls. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Pitts Baptist Church (140 Pitts School Rd NW, Concord, NC 28027). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at the Pitts Baptist Church Cemetery (140 Pitts School Rd NW, Concord, NC 28027).
