He was predeceased by: his parents, Massie Taylor Mullinax and Corrie Jane Herbert Mullinax; his former wife Lois Rachel Mullinax; and also, Pawnee Simmons, Mendall Demarkaus Mullinax, Massie Taylor Mullinax, Jr., Thomas Herbert Mullinax, Doris Maxine Mullinax, Dewey Wayne Mullinax and Flossie Church.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Mullinax of Concord; his children, Michael J. Mullinax (Laura) of Charlotte, Terry L. Mullinax (Janet) of Charlotte, Randall W. Rice (Martha) of Hickory, Anita Goodwin (Katie) of Louisville, KY and Cheryl R. Trafton (Michael) of Concord; and his brother Kimo J. Mullinax (Christine) of Granite Falls. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
