With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Richard Helms Sr. of Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on February 28, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Hudson Helms; his son Steven Helms; and his siblings, Jimmy, Howard, Mutt Helms and Willene Herrin.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Helms; his children, Joe Richard Helms, Jr. (Sonya) of Kannapolis and Deborah Sethna of Concord; his grandchildren, Lawson Martin (Katherine), Corey Martin, Alley Helms (John Oakes), Tanner Sethna, Carson Helms, Peyton Helms and Alexis Malund; and his great grandchildren, Liam, Bretton, Nora and Tucker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
