He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Caldwell Furr and Alice Elizabeth Davis Furr; his wife Barbara Brock Furr; his parents-in-law, Kenneth Brock and Sally Short Brock; and his sister-in-law Roberta "Gayle" Arey Furr.
He is survived by: his brother Richard Furr of Concord; his nephews, Shane Furr (Leigh Ann) of Kannapolis and Travis Furr (Aprille) of Rockwell; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Andrew Furr, Alex Furr, Kennedy Furr and Kolton Furr; and his cousin Lois Cox.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Anson Crisis Ministry, Hanna Chapel United Methodist Church in Wadesboro, NC, or Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC.
