We bid farewell to Jennie McNeill Bethune of Concord, North Carolina, born in Raeford, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 27, 2024 at the age of 107. Jennie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lacy Franklin Clark and Bessie Lee Blue Clark; her grandmother Jennie McNeill; her husband George Gaither Bethune, Sr.; and her daughter Gay Bethune Holding.

She is survived by: her children, Jennie Brewer (George), George Bethune, Jr. (Cynthia) and Alex Bethune (Susan); her grandchildren, Mary Bethune Wilder, Anne Bethune Taylor, George Bethune, III, Ginny James Eagles (Ben), Charles James (Kristin), McNeil Bethune, Ali Bethune and Annabeth Bethune; and her great grandchildren, Ethan Wilder, Ross Wilder, Will Taylor, Alex Taylor, Kate Eagles, Libby Eagles and Townes James.
