We bid farewell to James Keith Thurman of Concord, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 26, 2025 at the age of 82. James Keith touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Willis and Shirley Lorraine Heisey Thurman. He is survived by: his wife Doris Davis Thurman (Dori); his daughters, Susan Slade (Mike) and Lisa Fullerton (Todd); his sisters, Marcia Calvert (Mike) of Wichita, KS and Kathy Hostetler (Rolland) of Mountain Home, AR; and his grandchildren, Henry, Maggie, Levi Slade, Fisher, Patrick and Sadie Fullerton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Forest Hill United Methodist Church (265 Union St N, Concord, NC 28025). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 3:15 PM at the Carolina Memorial Park (601 Mt Olivet Rd, Concord, NC 28025).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Coltrane LIFE Center, Inc., 321 Corban Ave. SE, Concord, NC 28025 or Forest Hill United Methodist Church, Good Samaritan Fund, 265 Union St. N., Concord, NC 28025.
