He was predeceased by : his parents, Talbot Stevens and Nellie Mae Medlin Stevens; his wife Mary "Wezzie" Pickler Stevens; and his siblings, Thurston, Talbert, Rupert Stevens, Janice Roby, Fula Cobb and Rita Higgins.

He is survived by : his friends, Charles Fink and Howard Casper; his sister Shirley Grass; and his sisters-in-law, Patty White and Joan Brines.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Whitley's Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083).
