It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Ballard of Concord, North Carolina, born in Weaverville, North Carolina, who passed away on November 11, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandfather Jack; his parents, Alvin Ballard and Azalee Pounders Ballard; and his daughter Debbie Lee Ballard. He is survived by: his wife Jewell Shinn Ballard; his children, Lynn Ballard Kersey of Concord, Jill Ballard Chunn (Scott) of Concord and Jody Lee Ballard (Santan) of Concord; his sisters, Linda Shook (Ted) of Weaverville, Maxine Garrison (Jim) of Weaverville and Geraldine Broome (Doug) of Asheville; his granddaughter Summer McClain (Taylor); and his great grandchildren, Brayden, Fiona, Lena, Leif, Baylor and Nolan.
