He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Owings Alexander, MD and Vance Thompson Alexander, MD; his brother John Macfie Alexander, MD (Jackie); and his nephew John Lee Alexander. He is survived by: his daughter Laura Roberts of Concord, NC; his friend Donna Roberts of Concord, NC; his sister Sarah Shapiro (Ed) of Andover, CT; his nieces and nephews, Dan Gurry (Libby) of Kennebunk, ME, Jeff Gurry (Yoshi) of Bolton, CT, Carolyn Tyrseck of Willington, CT and Charlotte Ann Alexander of Winterville, NC; his niece-in-law Beth Alexander of Newport, NC; and his great-nephews, Justin Gurry of New York, NY, James Gurry of Denver, CO, Philip and Joseph Tyrseck of Concord, NC..

A graveside service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Carolina Memorial Park - Kannapolis (601 Mt Olivet Rd, Concord, NC 28025).
