It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Eugene Parker of Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Parker and Pauline Walter Parker; and his sons, Ernest Eugene Parker Jr. and Darrell Wayne Parker. He is survived by: his wife Vera Parker; his daughters, Dianne Rice (Daniel) and Janet Hailey (Harold); his grandchildren, Jessica Rice, Chris Parker, Jamie Nunn, Edward Hailey (Sarah) and Julie Neitzel; and his great grandchildren, Paytene Rice, Charlie Simpson, Henry Hailey, Wyatt Hailey, Hudson Neitzel and Hayes Neitzel. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Whitley's Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Carolina Memorial Park (601 Mt Olivet Rd, Concord, NC 28025).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County or Shriner's Hospital.
