She was predeceased by: her father Herman; and her husband Fred Newell Covington, Jr.. She is survived by: her son Fred Newell "Chip" Covington III; her sisters, Sylvia Burleson of Salisbury and Marie Eudy of Wilmington; her grandsons, Chad Covington (Brittany) of Concord and Chase Covington (Laurie Barrier) of Mount Pleasant, NC.; and her great grandchildren, Aiyana, Lilah and Taylor.
