He is survived by: his children, Elijah Nieves of Atlanta, GA, Anija Benjamin, La'Darean Benjamin, Jaelyn Benjamin of Kannapolis, NC, Nicolus Leal of Modesta, CA, Darius Montrece Benjamin Jr., Darion Benjamin and Dez'yre Benjamin of Concord, NC.; his granddaughter Dream Campbell of Kannapolis; his stepparents, Janice Mobley of Charlotte and Cletus "Weedy" Johnson of Kannapolis; his siblings, Natasha Benjamin McDaniel (Allen) of Concord, Johnathan Mobley, Jessica Mobley, Christopher Mobley and Jennifer Simmons (Christopher) of Charlotte; and his aunts and uncles, Antoinette Benjamin, Cathy Carr, Marilyn Noble (Richard), Yvonne Robinson (Neil), James Smith, Gary Benjamin, David Mobley and Rickey Mobley (Margie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
