With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dalton Mitchell Gay of Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on July 29, 2023 at the age of 17. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his parents, Michelle Hurst Payne and Robert "David" Gay, Sr. (Marie) of Kernersville; his father-in-law Scott of China Grove; his grandmother Judy Smith; his siblings, Brittany DeSantis, Stephanie Payne, Devin Lee Gay (Nicole), Rob Gay Jr. and Matt Payne; and his niece Lorraine DeSantis.
In remembrance of Dalton's passion for helping others, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Charity Baptist Church-Food Pantry at 2420 Brantley Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083, a cause that was close to his heart.
