He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Sherrill and Vera Turner Sherrill; and his brothers, Paul "Wayne" Sherrill, Jesse "Buddy" Sherrill and Harold Sherrill.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Sherrill, Terry Sherrill and Kathy Sherrill; and his stepdaughter Michelle Brumbelow. He is also survived by his six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
