It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles S. Dorton of Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on November 26, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Simeon Dorton, Sr. and Lula Mae Canupp Dorton; his wife Naomi Ruth Linker Dorton; and his son Charles S. Dorton III. He is survived by: his sons, Steven Alvice Dorton (Sandy) of Concord, NC and Phillip Kevin Dorton (Jamie) of Kernersville, NC; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Grant and Lyndsey; and his great grandchildren, Sawyer and Adrien.

In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
