He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary E. Cannon Cannon and John W. Cannon; and his siblings, William E. Sumlin, Walter Sumlin, Gregory Cannon and Janet M. Cannon.
He is survived by: his daughter Heather Perry; his grandchildren, Marquis Jenkins, Jaquis Jenkins and Michael Reid; his siblings, Etta Harding of Concord, Fred Sumlin (Tamara Allen-Friend) of Concord, NC, John W. Cannon of Concord, NC and James T. Cannon of Concord, NC; and his sister-in-law Ruth Scott Sumlin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
