She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Leroy McDonald and Nova Lee Brotherton McDonald; her significant other Larry Darrell Upright; and her son Joel Allen Upright. She is survived by: her children, Michael Darrell Upright (Lisa Deal) of China Grove and Jill McLain (Phil) of Kannapolis. She is also survived by three granddaughters.
