He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Adolph and Fannie Virginia Davis; his wife Linda Lou Davis (Haines); and his siblings, Sarah Davis Cheshire, Beryl Davis Gray, Franklin Arnold Davis, Edgar Vernon Davis and Herbert Ronald Davis.
He is survived by: his sisters, Pearl Davis Nealis of Tawanda, NJ, Irene Davis Keiter of Romney, WV and Aretta Elizabeth Davis of Augusta, WV; his children, Barbara Lewis (Terry) of Concord, NC, Anthony Davis (Ruth) of Virginia Beach, VA and John Davis (Rebecca) of Ocoee, FL.; his stepchildren, Renee Cox (David) of Romney, WV and Troy Corbin (Tina) of Newnan, GA; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Hamilton, Megan Davis, Jacob Davis, Jeffery Mathias II, Nichole Byrne, Brittney Davis, Brooke Davis, Ryan Corbin, Alex Cox, Garrett Corbin and Erin Corbin. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association, American Heart Association, and or your local dog shelter.
