She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida Belle Crumbly Tench and Vonie Ezelle Burton Tench; her former husband Donald N. Cooke, Sr.; her husband James "Jim" Miller Fields; and her siblings, Ovalene Fulcher, Merle Cook, Vera Crout and Grafford Tench.
She is survived by: her children, Donald "Donnie" N. Cooke, Jr. (Colleen) of Charlotte and Shannon L. Lyles (Bobby) of Concord; her sister Ione Farrow of Savannah, GA; and her grandchildren, Audy Indrieri (Tony), Josh Cooke (Diana), Omar Williams (Elizabeth), Brandee Lopes (Thiago) and Brianna Lyles. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, located at 598 Hwy 49, Concord, NC 28025.
