He is survived by: his parents, Lokie F. Sumner, Sr. and Riopell Parker Sumner; his siblings, Lokie "Peter" F. Sumner, Jr. and Patricia "Pat" Sumner Mead; his sons, Dustin Sumner (Rachel) of Como and Blake Sumner of Como; his sister Anna Scott Sumner Swor (Larry) of Werisdale; his stepsister Joyclynn B. Patterson of Raleigh; his grandson Grady Everette Sumner; his significant other Amy DeLoatch of Woodland; and also Charlie B. Sumner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
