With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ted Owens of Columbus, North Carolina, born in Tryon, North Carolina, who passed away on August 25, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Ruby Waters. He is survived by: his wife Elna Lynch Owens; his children, Beth Owens Ledford of Asheville, NC, Bruce Owens (Martha) of Yorktown, VA and Jonathan B Owens of Columbus, NC; his grandchildren, Caleb Owens, Kelby Ledford, Brad Ledford, Noah Owens, Elizabeth Owens and Luke Owens; and his siblings, Polly White (Billy), Brenda Lewis and Charles Waters.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Coopers Gap Baptist Church or the Polk County Historical Association (PO Box 503, Columbus, NC 28722).
