He is survived by: his wife Maricela Bazan Contreras; his children, Jesus Contreras, Romulo Contreras, Jr., David Lee Contreras, Jenny Lee Contreras and Alicia Ruiz; and his stepson Fermin Oveido. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
