He is survived by: his wife Dorene Aiken Byars; his sisters, Sarah Brooks of Landrum and Frances Moody (Phillip) of Duncan; his grandchildren, Lindsey Lunsford (Dustin Reece) and Ashley Talley (Fletcher); and his great grandchildren, Landon Greene, Jaylin Reece and Gage Reece.
