He was predeceased by: his parents, James Elbert and Alta Foster Higgins; and his siblings, Betty Jean, Barbara, Debra, Cathy and Jerry.
He is survived by: his wife Jean J. Higgins; his children, Eric Edwards (Paula Richardson), Scott Edwards (Deb), Krista Edwards and Danny Boyce (Melinda); his grandchildren, Kirsten, Tyler, Sara, Clayton, Allison, D'Anna, Hannah, Jennifer and Joshua; and his siblings, Doug Higgins, David Higgins, Lois Emmanuel and Karen Higgins. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
