He was predeceased by: his parents, Scott Bowen and Essie Endicott Bowen; and his siblings, Velma Kirk, Renda Booth, Hubert Bowen, Chester Bowen, Arnold Bowen and Harold Bowen.
He is survived by: his wife Ella Mae Alley Bowen; his children, Martin Ray Bowen of Columbus, Jason Bowen of Columbus and Gena Lazell Bowen of Columbus; his granddaughters, Anna Marie Bowen of Rutherfordton and Isabella Mae Bowen of Columbus; and his siblings, Paul Bowen (Gracie) of Columbus, Scott Bowen, Jr. (Ethel) of Hode, Kentucky, Pauline Alley of Hode and Beatrice Cordle of Columbus, Ohio.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Hillview Church of God (650 W Finger St, Landrum, SC 29356). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at the Polk Memorial Gardens (624 W Mills St, Columbus, NC 28722).
Memorials may be made to Hillview Church of God in Landrum or Tryon Church of God.
