He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Archer Sr. and Mary Geneva Greggs Archer; his siblings, Charlene Pickford Laxton, Edward Arnold Pickard, Doris Marie Willis Stack and Mary Elizabeth; his son Gerald Archer (Jerry); and his wife Dorothy G. Fergason.
He is survived by: his brother Thomas Roger Archer of Fairfield, CA; his children, John H Archer of Providence Forge, VA and Constance E. Archer of Madison, TN; his granddaughters, Carol A. Bolin of Hebron, CT and Melissa A. Stampley of Brandon, MS.; and his great grandchildren, Amanda N. Bolin of Richmond, VA, Paige K. and Jacob T. Stampley of Jackson, MS..
