He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Bennett Brooks and Mattie Timms Brooks; and his brother Dennis Fred Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Sue Thornton Brooks; his children, Jerry Claude Brooks, Jr. (Cathy) of Clover, Apryll B. Smith of Easley and Susan Brooks of Tryon, NC; his sister Nancy LaGrasse (Thomas) of Winder, GA; his grandchildren, Melissa Chelak (Clint) of Santaquin, UT, Daniel Smith (Kileen) of Port Wentworth, GA, Harrison Brooks (Bethany) of Clover and Lauren Berlynn Brooks; and his great grandchildren, Nova Petit and Luna Smith.
Due to the COVID-19 Crisis only 50 persons will be allowed in the chapel for the service.
