With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jane VanPelt Janke of Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on March 20, 2025 at the age of 98. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jane VanPelt Janke to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kemper and Grace Kemper (Horner); her husband Richard; her sisters, Jacqueline Jones and Phyllis Kalk; and her daughter Kathryn Watson.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Worrall (Winfield), Jennifer Dean (Glenn) of Landrum, SC, David Janke of Columbus, NC and Barbara Ruffin (Ray) of Plattsburgh, NY; and her grandchildren, Auburn Trommeter, Karl Riley, Kendra Lamoretti, Winscott, Richard Worrall and Anna Dean Egan. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 1:30 PM and on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM.
