She was predeceased by: her husband Reverend William "Bill" Painter; her daughter Elizabeth Ann Painter; and her granddaughter Anna Smith. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Thompson (David) of Gaffney, SC, Willian Daniel Painter (Angela) of Green Creek, NC, John Painter (Dixie) of Tryon, NC, Melanie Smith (Chris) of Green Creek, NC and Marilyn Ingle (Randy) of Green Creek, NC; and her grandchildren, Jeanna Pressley (Nathan), William Thompson (Amanda), Erica Leeds (Benjamin), Daniel Painter, Bethany-Jean Lassiter (Anthony), Sarah-Ruth Painter, Mattie-Lou Painter, Elizabeth-Grace Painter, Eric Mews, Lillie-Mae Painter, Brandy Smith (Kyle Rush), Trey Smith, Adam Smith and Alex Ingle (Crystal). She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
