She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Fortenberry and Ruby Laughter Fortenberry; and her siblings, E. G. Fortenberry, Shirley Garland and Louise Fortenberry.
She is survived by: her son Ronnie Russell (Amy) of Sunny View; her granddaughters, Tonya Montgomery (Josh) and Kimberly Johnson (Sam); her great grandchild Riley Paige Montgomery; her siblings, Leland Fortenberry (Paula) of Landrum, Patricia Lawson of Landrum and Carolyn Byers of Mill Spring; and her sister-in-law Joyce Fortenberry of Sunny View. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
