He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Owens (Bradey); his parents, Cephas Owens and Lillie Owens (Metcalf); and his siblings, Robert, Melvin "Punch" Owens, Frances Owens and Elaine Greene.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Harris of Columbus, NC, Rev. Emanuel Harris (Jan) of Trenton, FL, Jeffrey Harris (Carlia) of Heflin, AL and Janice Halford (Eddie) of Mill Springs, NC.; his grandchildren, Lacy, Caleb, Grace Harris, Derek, Michael and Sarah Brown; his great grandchildren, CJ, Natalie, Addliyn, Hayden Harris and Levi Henderson; and his siblings, Doris McClure of Landrum, SC and Gene Owens of Columbus, NC.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
