It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilma Rae Owens of Columbia, North Carolina, who passed away on October 9, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Delton Jackson and Grace Holadia Jackson; and her siblings, Nathan Jackson, Carrie Lee J. Reynolds and Betty Mae J. Midgett.
She is survived by: her father-in-law George Griffin Owens, Jr.; her children, George G. Owens, III (Nicole) of Gatesville, Hannah O. Rogers (Steve) of Gatesville and Caroline O. Chandler (Scott) of Roper; and her grandchildren, John Griffin Rogers, Emily C. Youmans (Caleb), Madeline Chandler, Mollie Chandler, Sidney Gardner, Davis Owens, Braeden Owens and Dominic Owens.
