She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Alonzo and Mabel Cahoon Jones; her spouse Dallas Emanuel Bateman; and her siblings, Phillip, Nellie, Dimple, Eunice, Pricilla, Arnold, Wilma, Doris and Morris.
She is survived by: her sibling Miss Lucy; her children, Roy Allen Bateman (Pat) of Columbia, Kenneth Ray Bateman (Janice) of Smithfield, NC and Cheryl Dawn Fitzgerald (Mike) of Williamston; her great grandchildren, Johnathan Williams, Christian Bateman, Allison Bateman, Ava Fitzgerald, Olivia Fitzgerald, Liam Gardner and Gatlin Gardner; and her siblings, Judy Cahoon of Kilkenny and Lawrence Jones of Columbia.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bryan Funeral Service (162 L A Keiser Dr, Columbia, NC 27925). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Soundside Missionary Baptist Church (2607 Sound Side Rd, Columbia, NC 27925).
