He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret B. Cahoon and Willard L. Cahoon; his son Blake E. Cahoon; and his siblings, Glynn T. Cahoon and Jackie C. Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy B. Cahoon; his daughter Katherine C. Alphin (Andrew Alphin); his granddaughters, Anna Blake and Logan; his sisters, Ginger C. Hassell and Anita C. Simpson; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Holton, Marie Cutrell and Jeanie Harrell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law.
