She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Phillips Hewett and Leslie W. Hewett Sr.; her husband James C. Hook, Sr.; her son George Alexander Base; and her siblings, Phillips Hirst Hewett and Florence-Emily Litchfield.
She is survived by: her daughter Jessica Jarvis of Columbia, NC; her brother Leslie "Bill" W. Hewett Jr. of Oriental, NC; and her daughter-in-law Phadra Base of Warner-Robins, GA.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers Celia has requested that memorial donations be made to Pocosin Arts School of Fine Crafts, P.O. Box 690, Columbia, NC 27925.
