He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Monroe and Aline Cooper Harrell; and his wife Rena Mae Spencer. He is survived by: his daughter Beverly H. Swain (Robert) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Andrew Swain (Chelsea) of Columbia and Sarah S. Copeland (Will) of Tyner; his great grandchildren, Hunter Blake Copeland, Ellie Copeland and Grady Swain; his sister-in-law Dawn Harrell of Columbia; and his nephews, David Harrell (Lynley) of Beulaville and Dylan Harrell of Wilmington.
