He is survived by: his sister Beverly Halmo; his wife Karen Elizabeth Lopez Vader of Columbia, NC; his daughters, Jennifer Kelly of Creswell, NC and Kristine Brenneman of Pasadena, MD; his siblings, Kenneth Vader of Dandridge, TN, Gail Eaton of Wake Forest, NC and Diane Krauss of Wake Forest, NC; and his grandchildren, Scott Swiatknowki, Jr. and Kalia Swiatknowki.
