She was predeceased by: her parents, George E. Langley, Sr. and Rebekah Lankford Langley; and her former husband Edwin L. Kennedy. She is survived by: her husband Larry Dean Friedrich of Colfax; her sons, The Reverend Chesley Kennedy (John Overfield) of Greensboro, Timothy Kennedy (Holly) of Merritt Island and Edwin Kennedy (Shellie) of Allan, Texas; her stepsons, Larry Friedrich, Jr. of Melbourne and Paul Friedrich of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and her daughter-in-law Tina White-Kennedy of Winston-Salem. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
