He was predeceased by: his wife Janet Robbins Pegg; his parents, William Wesley Pegg, Sr. and Annie Lee Pegg; and his siblings, Mary Pegg Cooke, Patty Pegg Murphy, Esther Pegg Parker, Lee Pegg and Mark Pegg.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Darr (Ben) of Oak Ridge, NC, Ellen Burleson of Colfax, NC and Beverly Smith (Keith) of Summerfield, NC; and his grandchildren, Matthew Smith and Melissa Darr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
