She was predeceased by: her parents, Enoch Modlin and Lelia Smith Modlin; her spouse Sammy Gordon; and her brother Herman Modlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shady Grove Wesleyan Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 98, Colfax, NC 27235.
