He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Stafford and Homer Westmoreland; his brothers, Billy Westmoreland, David Westmoreland and Barry Westmoreland; and his niece Beverly Blackwood.

He is survived by: his daughter Gina Preston (Jason); his grandsons, Carson and Jaxon Preston; his brothers, Stephen and Lyndon Westmoreland; his nephews, Mike, Jeff, Keith, Kenneth, Allen, Lenny and David Westmoreland; and his niece Debra Snipes (Robin Gauldin).

Donations may be made to the VA or the VFW in Kernersville, NC.
