It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joe Smith of Colfax, North Carolina, who passed away on September 17, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joseph and Lena Belle Smith; his wife Colleen Ray Dunlap Smith; and his siblings, William Henry Smith, Mlar Smith, Fleta Smith, Blanch Williams, Fred Smith, Stella Hillard, Roy Smith, Ralph Smith, Nell Scasce and Lola Smith.
He is survived by: his son David Wayne Smith (Brenda); his grandchildren, Jefferey D. Smith (Kristina), Darren W. Smith (Melinda) and Christopher B. Smith; his great grandchildren, Claire, William, Ragen and Lucas; and his sister Lois Branson of Siler City.
With social distancing observed and masks requested, a funeral service for Joe will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Northwest Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Hamann officiating.
