He was predeceased by: his parents, James Everette and Elsie Boley Haynes; and his sister Shirley H. Tompkins. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Hester Haynes; his children, Sherry Bryson (Mike), Kevin Haynes (Kay) and Jennifer Rose (Phillip); his grandchildren, Sarah Haynes, Meredith Bryson, Harrison, Katherine and Nicholas Rose; and his siblings, Phyllis Barbour (Heraldean), Virginia Phelps (Charles) and James E. Haynes (Sibyl).
