It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Etta Smith (Colfax, North Carolina), who passed away at the age of 86, on April 23, 2020. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Robson and Julia Holder Seawell; her husband David E. Smith; her siblings, Mary Ruth Slaydon and Sam Seawell; and her great grandchild Samson Eugene Quate.
She is survived by: her sons, Bob Smith (Shirl), Johnny Smith (Carol), Bill Smith (Cindy) and Benny Smith (Sharon); and her grandchildren, Pam Hooker (Keith), Marsha Lankford (Dwayne), Kim Quate (Eddie), Amy Anderson (Jeff), Travis Smith (Leanne), Ben Smith (Charlsie), Nicky Tilley (Jamie), Julie Hawtree (Daniel), Jill Vaughn (David) and Katie Davis (Matt). She is also survived by 26 great grandchildren; 5 great – great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the pandemic of COVID-19 and the limitations of numbers for public gatherings, a private family graveside service will be held at Westminister Gardens with Pastor Bob Smith and Pastor Daniel Hawtree officiating.
