With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Danny Stuart Safrit of Colfax, North Carolina, born in Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on October 18, 2023 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Norma Kluttz Safrit; and his niece Maggie Safrit Smale (Josh). He is survived by: his father Bill H. Safrit; his wife Angela Jacobs Safrit; his daughter Melissa Safrit-Arias (Pablo A. Arias); his stepmother Linda W. Safrit; his brother William Alan Safrit (Anne Safrit); his niece Victoria Safrit Townsend (Josh); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jaxon Smale, Bexley Smale, Ava Townsend, Scarlett Townsend and Colton Townsend; and his stepsisters, Karen James (Michael) and Susan Hughes.

He was an excellent prison manager and administrator who knew how to work with people. He was well respected and fun to be around. I was very saddened to learn of his passing and know he will be dearly missed by his family and those close to him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his loved ones.
